A little info ...

Hi there, my name is Raewyn and I've done a couple of these Garage Sale Trails in Christchurch. They have been quite successful as well I'm pleased to say.

It's great fun for both sides as it means that you sell more because more people come to visit you and they get more bargains because they know where all the Garage Sales are in Christchurch on that day.

About ...

Your Personal Page - You will have your own personal page on the website for the Christchurch Garage Sale Trail. Once the site is live, your Page will be visible with everything except your address. That goes up the night before for safety reasons.

Photos - 1. Send me your best item for sale, priced - this will be your main photo.

-2. Add another 3 photos with prices of your smaller items.

-3. Feel free to share some more photos if you have prices and make a list of everything else you have and send that to me as well.

Keep a few secrets for on the day!

With the Garage Sale Trail it means it could be a full day of buying for some people who love garage sales which is great for you, but it is up to you what times you wish to start/finish. You let me know and that goes on your page for your buyers.

Poster - I make a poster with the list of addresses in the Garage Sale Trail and send to you a few days beforehand. Display this on the day and it will let everyone know where the next stop is.

Advertising - I will be doing a lot of advertising for this and try and get as many suburbs in as possible. Of course it helps if you put a post up in your Community page on Facebook if you belong to one.

More Garage Sales ... More People Come ... More $$$

Having a Garage Sale that is in the Trail means that more people come to visit you. The more people that come and like your Garage Sale will also share that the Garage Sale Trail is on and that they should come on over. (Don't forget to tell them to share!!!)

Don't forget to put some little tidbits out for the kiddy buyers - they love all sorts of fun things and often the parents will send them in with a few dollars .

And ... keep an eye out for those early birds - The Traders - they will be after your jewellery, and valuable items. They will arrive super early, before you even start your garage sale.
